Therapy for Anxiety and Life Transitions in Midlife — Chandler, AZ
Helping high-functioning adults move from constant pressure and anxiety to a calmer, more grounded way of living.
Hi, I’m Mary, a licensed therapist in Chandler, Arizona.
I specialize in working with high-functioning adults in midlife who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck despite appearing “fine” on the outside. Many of my clients are successful, responsible people who have spent years meeting expectations, caring for others, or pushing themselves forward, often at the cost of their own well-being.
Over time, this can lead to chronic anxiety, burnout, difficulty relaxing, sleep problems, irritability, or a sense that life has lost its direction or meaning.
Therapy provides a space to slow down, understand what is driving these patterns, and develop a more sustainable way of living. My approach focuses on helping you shift from anxiety-driven functioning to a grounded, internally guided life.
I work with adults experiencing:
- Anxiety and chronic stress
- Burnout and exhaustion
- Life transitions in midlife
- Feeling stuck or unfulfilled despite success
- Difficulty setting boundaries
- Loss of identity after caregiving, career focus, or major life changes
- Overthinking and inability to “turn off”
- Perfectionism and pressure to perform
- Relationship strain
- Questions about purpose or direction
My work is insight-oriented, practical, and tailored to you. Together we identify patterns that keep you stuck, build tools for managing anxiety, and reconnect you with your own needs, values, and goals.
Many clients begin therapy wanting relief from symptoms — and discover something deeper: a clearer sense of who they are and how they want to live moving forward.
Outside the therapy office, I’m often tending plants, creating art, or walking quiet trails. I’m drawn to what grows slowly — gardens, ideas, and people. I spend much of my free time studying psychology, philosophy, and the deeper patterns that shape our lives.
My own inward work informs how I support clients. I believe therapy is not about becoming a different person, but about returning to a steadier, more authentic version of yourself.
If you’re a high-functioning adult who feels anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your own life, therapy can help you regain stability and clarity.
I offer therapy for adults in Chandler, AZ and surrounding areas, as well as secure telehealth sessions for clients throughout Arizona.
